S.O.S. (GF, DF, SF, EF)

· The quickest dinner you'll ever make ·

This is cheap, easy, filling, and freaking delicious. Use whatever leftover meat you have on hand or go buy fresh meat. Bread about to go stale? Toast it up! Use what you have and make the best of it!

This is the ultimate poor people’s food. AKA what I grew up on. Aaaand I still eat it regularly. It’s so dang good. Even with gluten and dairy-free alternatives. Such simple ingredients and easy to whip up after a long day. If you don’t know what “S.O.S.” is, here is a good description I found on the googles for you:

The unofficial termβ€”abbreviated as β€œS.O.S.”—became popular slang among American soldiers during World War II. It refers to β€œcream chipped beef on toast,” a dish that’s been featured in Army cookbooks for over 100 years.

Any creamed meat (shit) served on toast (shingle) could be referred to as S.O.S.Β

Yup.
